About

I'm David Newcomb. I'm an IT Architect, infrastructure engineer, Linux guy, and a lifelong homelab tinkerer. I work at Idaho National Laboratory where I design and support enterprise Linux systems, automate everything I can with Ansible, and build the infrastructure that powers modern machine-learning workloads.

I've been in IT for more almost 20 years, covering pretty much everything along the way: networking, web development, system administration, storage, virtualization, security, and enterprise architecture. At this point, solving complex problems and keeping large systems running smoothly is just part of who I am.

This blog is where I document the things I’m building, testing, fixing, or experimenting with. Most of it involves Linux, automation, AI infrastructure, and whatever I’m messing with in my homelab or on my Proxmox cluster. Sometimes it's polished. Sometimes it’s just me figuring things out in real time.
